Tour of the park

Discover the beauty of the largest park in the Opole Province!

Park in Moszna

The historic park is related to the surrounding forests and fields, and the main axis of the concept is geometric in nature. Just beyond the fountain stretches a linden avenue, leading to a marble pedestal – the remains of a monument to Hubert von Tiele-Winckler. On both sides of the avenue are preserved 19th-century Dutch and French-style water canals and picturesque ponds.

The park reveals its beauty and uniqueness throughout the year. In spring, variously colored azaleas and rhododendrons attract visitors, with the largest concentration in Moszna. The lion terrace offers beautiful views of the garden, with antique sculptures at the foot.
In summer, a multimedia fountain invites you to a green enclave, offering a rich water and light program. The linden avenue is in bloom, and the pond with the island of love invites strolls.
In autumn, mighty oak trees paint a fairy-tale scene, and Kalushnik Pond is a gathering place for wild birds. The castle’s orangery provides a warm sanctuary, offering exotic plants such as 80-year-old ficus.
In winter, conifers and evergreens add to the beauty, and the conservatory is an oasis of tropical vegetation. The park invites long walks, encounters with nature, architecture and art, creating an extraordinary atmosphere.

The character of the park creates an extraordinary atmosphere conducive to long walks and encounters with the awe-inspiring nature, architecture and art.

Fountain - water-light-sound performances

The fountain is located in a picturesque park in Moszna and also in the immediate vicinity of the castle. Its history dates back to the first decades of the 20th century and is linked to the von Tiele-Winckler family.

The fountain was extensively renovated between August 2021 and May 2022, when it lived to see its premiere in its new look.

  • The water show is synchronized with carefully selected classical and film music
  • after dark, the performances are accompanied by lighting, creating, together with water and sound, an amazing artistic impression
  • benches are also located near the fountain, as well as extensive areas with renovated and illuminated paths that are conducive to long walks

Until the end of October, the fountain operates according to the following schedule:

Show: water + light after dark

  • Friday-Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. | Monday-Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Show: water + music + light after dark

  • all week at every full hour from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm

As planned, water from the fountain basin is drained in the month of October. Frost and snow could cause serious damage to the fountain mechanism. The fountain will be put back into operation in the spring, after the frosts have stopped. We will announce the details on our website.

Moszna Castle reserves the right to change the schedule, turn off the fountain or carry out maintenance by shutting it down periodically.
